Water Heals What Love Broke
[Verse 1]
I wake up in a bed too wide
Half the pillows on your side
Forever changed its mind on us
Left me holding shattered trust
[Verse 2]
So I run the tap, let warmth begin
Tiny bubbles pull me in
Knees to chest, I close my eyes
Safe at last from all the lies
[Chorus]
Here I’m safe from yesterday
Here my pain can wash away
Water heals what love broke
Bubbles carry words we never spoke
Every burst a small goodbye
To the anger held inside
[Verse 3]
Morning strength, nighttime peace
Hope returning piece by piece
What you shattered, I rebuilt slow
Water heals what love broke
[Verse 4]
Home turned into battlegrounds
Promises twisted into wounds
Trust is fragile, paper thin
Now I’m learning where to begin
[Verse 5]
Foam surrounds the parts I hide
Softest armor on my side
I can trust myself again
Starting first by breathing in
[Bridge]
In this quiet I forgive
Not for you, so I can live
Water heals what love broke
Bubbles shield the heart you left exposed
Every breath a brand new start
Rebuilding all the hardest parts
[Chorus]
Twice a day I rise renewed
Born from water, born in truth
I leave the hurt inside the drain
Water heals what love broke
[Verse 6]
Weightless in this liquid room
Like returning to the womb
Bubbles lift the dark away
Pop the guilt, the fear, the ache
[Final Chorus]
Water heals what love broke
Bubbles shield the heart you left exposed
Every breath a brand new start
Rebuilding all the hardest parts
Twice a day I rise renewed
Born from water, born in truth
I leave the hurt inside the drain
Water heals what love broke
[Outro]
I come up whole again
I come up whole again

Water Heals What Love Broke
There is a specific kind of loneliness that hits you when you wake up and realize the person who used to be there is gone—not just from the bed, but from your life. The silence in the house feels louder than any argument ever did.
I wrote “Water Heals What Love Broke” during a time when my own home felt like a minefield of memories. Every room held a ghost of a promise that hadn’t been kept. The only place I could find true safety—the only place the noise of the heartbreak couldn’t reach me—was in the water.
It became a ritual of survival.
I literally took baths twice a day. In the morning, I used the water to build up the strength to face a world that felt sharper than before. At night, I used it to wash away the anger and the grief so I could finally sleep.
There is something primal about being submerged. The weight lifts off your chest. The outside world disappears. You’re forced to just sit with yourself, breathe, and let the heat soften the armor you’ve been wearing all day.
This song is about that sanctuary. It’s about the quiet, private work of putting yourself back together when trust has been shattered. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most profound healing doesn’t happen in a therapist’s office or a big conversation—it happens in the stillness of a liquid room, where you can finally forgive yourself for loving the wrong person, and rise up whole again.
