Different Roads
[Verse 1]
I laid my heart right there on the line,
Hoped you’d see past the spark and shine.
But every word just slipped through your hands,
You turned away… like you don’t understand.
[Chorus]
We were walkin’ on different roads,
One paved in silence, one heavy with loads.
I reached for meaning, you reached for control,
And somewhere between, we lost the soul.
No fight, no tears, just a quiet code…
Guess we were always on different roads.
[Verse 2]
You live in a world of marble and glass,
I come from fire, from scars that last.
I opened the door, but you stayed inside,
Two different ways to survive.
[Chorus]
We were walkin’ on different roads,
One paved in silence, one heavy with loads.
I reached for meaning, you reached for control,
And somewhere between, we lost the soul.
No fight, no tears, just a quiet code…
Guess we were always on different roads.
[Bridge]
You needed steady, I needed real,
Two kinds of love that just couldn’t heal.
You’re not wrong and I’m not right,
We just couldn’t meet in the same light.
[Verse 3]
So I’ll move on with an open heart,
You’ll keep yours safe behind the guard.
And if we meet again someday, who knows…
But for now, we’re just
[Outro]
On different roads.
Yeah… different roads.
And I’ll take the one where the feelings go.

Different Roads
“I wrote Different Roads about a romance that almost happened — one that had real chemistry, real possibility, but never fully took shape. I cared about her, and I felt something starting to grow between us… but the deeper we went, the more I realized we were built from completely different worlds.
I come from fire and feeling — from scars, growth, and honesty.
She came from control, structure, and keeping everything polished on the outside.
I tried opening my heart, but she kept hers behind glass. And even though there was attraction, affection, and moments that felt real, we couldn’t meet in the middle.
This wasn’t a breakup — it was a realization.
It was two people trying to love from two different directions.
I was reaching for meaning, and she was reaching for safety.
And no matter how hard we tried, our emotional roads never lined up.
Different Roads is about that quiet kind of heartbreak — the one where nothing dramatic happens, nothing explodes, nothing ends with a fight. It’s just two people who could’ve been something… but weren’t meant to be because they were heading toward different futures.
I wrote it as a way to honor what could have been and to let it go with grace.”
