Not for Sale
[Verse 1]
I gave you my time, yeah, gave you my heart,
Watched it fall to pieces, pulled apart.
I tried to be easy, played along too soon,
But the song you were singin’ left me outta tune.
[Pre-Chorus]
You wanted someone you could shape and mold,
But I’m not a story you get to control.
[Chorus]
Love ain’t a deal, it don’t come with terms,
I’m not your lesson, I’m done getting burned.
You want a version, but I want the truth—
Not a faded reflection of my own youth.
If love’s got a price, I’m not for sale.
If this is your love, I’d rather bail.
[Verse 2]
You showed me a mirror, but it’s cracked and fake,
Tried to fix me with every move I make.
I gave you the oceans, climbed every height,
But I was invisible in your spotlight.
[Pre-Chorus]
Your love kept changin’ like the tide rolls in,
No roots, no calm, just a whirlwind spin.
[Chorus]
Love ain’t a contract I’m forced to sign,
I’m done jumpin’ through your “perfect” line.
I’m not your shadow or backup plan,
I’m walkin’ away while I still can.
If love’s got a price, I’m not for sale.
This isn’t a love—it’s just a tale.
[Bridge]
You change the rules, then shift the blame,
Call it love, but it feels like shame.
You build a box and say it’s a home,
But I need space, I need to roam.
So I’m gone, train’s leavin’ the night,
No more sunshine that don’t feel right.
You’ll find someone to play your role,
But I need love that touches my soul.
[Chorus]
Love ain’t a wager, ain’t a disguise,
Can’t keep pretending just to survive.
I’m not your project, I’m not your toy,
I’m a man who needs real love, not a decoy.
If love’s got a price, I’m not for sale—
Your version of love was bound to fail.
[Outro]
So I’ll walk alone if that’s what it takes,
Build my own throne from the heartbreaks.
I’m not for sale… no, I’m not for sale.

Not for Sale
There comes a point in life where you finally see the pattern — the slow erosion of who you are as you bend, reshape, or shrink yourself just to keep someone happy. That’s where this song came from.
I’d been in a relationship where the more I gave, the smaller I became. It wasn’t loud or dramatic; it was subtle. Quiet expectations. Hidden judgments. Little nudges suggesting who I “should” be instead of who I actually was. Every day felt like being edited — softened here, muted there, adjusted to fit someone else’s idea of the perfect man.
And after everything I’ve lived through… after all the pain, growth, and healing… I realized I wasn’t willing to trade my identity for approval ever again.
Not For Sale grew out of that moment when self-worth hits you like a slap and a blessing at the same time. When you finally say, “This is who I am. If that’s not enough, then lose me.” It’s not anger — it’s clarity. It’s reclaiming the parts of yourself you used to give away too easily.
This song is me drawing a line in the sand —
not out of bitterness,
but out of a deep understanding
that real love never asks you to erase yourself to keep it.
If someone wants a bargain version of me,
they can keep looking.
I’m not for sale.
