Lyrics
Will You Hear Me?
[Verse 1]
I open my heart, careful and slow,
A fragile truth I need you to know.
But every word just falls like rain,
Not into your hands, just down in pain.
[Verse 2]
I try to explain this ache inside,
Just need your comfort, not another fight.
But your eyes light up like I did you wrong,
Like my feelings don’t belong.
[Pre-Chorus]
I’m not pointing blame, I just need you near,
To know my voice is worth the hear.
[Chorus]
Will you hear me… without turning away?
Can you hold me… without making me pay?
I’m not your enemy, I’m just trying to breathe,
Say what I feel without you leaving me.
Love’s not a mirror that’s only for you…
It’s me… it’s you… it’s our truth.
[Verse 3]
The air gets heavy, tension cuts deep,
My voice gets small, afraid to speak.
What I meant as a bridge, a way to connect,
Turns into silence, full of regret.
[Verse 4]
I tiptoe now, choose words with care,
Afraid of the storm that lingers there.
But this quiet is killing, this weight isn’t fair,
I’m drowning in things I can’t share.
[Chorus]
Will you hear me… without turning away?
Can you hold me… without making me pay?
I’m not your enemy, I’m just trying to breathe,
Say what I feel without you leaving me.
Love’s not a mirror that’s only for you…
It’s me… it’s you… it’s our truth.
[Bridge]
So here I stand, hands shaking, scared,
Praying to know you’re still there.
I don’t want a win, don’t need to be right…
Just need your love to be soft tonight.
[Outro]
Will you hear me… just hear me this time?
Not with anger… but with love on your mind.
I’m not your enemy, I’m not keeping score…
I just wanna feel safe when I knock on your door.
Love’s not a mirror that’s only for you…
It’s me… it’s you… it’s our truth.

Will You Hear Me?
There were moments in past relationships when speaking from the heart felt like walking into a storm. I’d try to share something vulnerable — a fear, a hurt, a need — and instead of being met with understanding, I’d watch the other person tense up, get defensive, or turn it into something I never meant. What started as an honest attempt to connect somehow turned into a misunderstanding, a conflict, or another reason I felt like I had to stay quiet.
I learned to tiptoe, to soften my truth, to choose every word like it could set off an alarm. And the more I held in, the smaller I became. I wasn’t asking to be right — I just wanted to be heard without being punished for how I felt.
That emotional weight is what shaped this song.
It came from the exhaustion of feeling like my voice didn’t land where it was supposed to… from loving someone who filtered everything through their past pain and couldn’t hear the intention behind my words.
“Will You Hear Me?” is the hope that love can be a place where you’re allowed to speak without fear — where the person you care about listens with an open heart instead of a loaded reaction. It’s the question I found myself asking again and again:
Can you hear me without thinking I’m against you?
Can you listen without shutting the door?
Can I tell you what hurts without losing you in the process?
This song is the moment where you stand there, a little scared, a little raw, hoping the person you love can meet you halfway…
and hear you, really hear you — not the past, not the fear, just you.
