Lyrics
Are You OK?
[Verse 1]
I was just a boy, still finding my way,
She was a woman who knew how to play.
Red dress swayin’, soft southern tone,
When she touched my hand, I felt at home.
[Verse 2]
Her perfume lingered — vanilla and wine,
Eyes like fire, body like rhyme.
She closed the door, dimmed the light,
Pulled me in and held me tight.
[Pre-Chorus]
She whispered low, “Don’t be shy,
Just breathe me in, let your heart decide.”
My hands were shaking, but her touch was sure,
She showed me love I’d never known before.
[Chorus]
And when she sighed like the night caught fire,
I froze up, thought I missed desire.
I whispered, “Are you okay?”
She bit her lip, pulled me deeper and said,
“Baby, don’t stop — I’ve never felt this way.”
Right then I knew the truth,
That love can be tender and burning too.
It wasn’t wrong, it wasn’t fake,
It was the moment my soul awoke.
[Verse 3]
She undressed me slow, like I was art,
Carved her name deep into my heart.
Taught me rhythm, breath, and heat,
Every move she made was sweet.
[Verse 4]
The world went still in her embrace,
Her lips wrote songs on my shaking face.
By sunrise I was someone new,
A boy made a man by the things she knew.
[Pre-Chorus]
She kissed my fear, called it sweet,
Turned my silence into heat.
She gave, not took, that sacred night,
Turned my shadows into light.
[Chorus]
And when she moaned like the sky broke down,
I froze up, thought I’d done her wrong somehow.
I whispered, “Are you okay?”
She laughed through the haze, said,
“Baby, you’re perfect in every way.”
Right then I touched the truth,
That fire feels holy when it moves through you.
It wasn’t wrong, it wasn’t fake,
It was the moment my soul awoke.
[Bridge]
I still taste her breath, still hear that sigh,
The way she looked me in the eye.
Every touch was a prayer come true,
Every sigh was a hymn I knew.
[Outro]
And when she trembled like the world stood still,
I knew I’d climbed my first real hill.
I asked her soft, “Are you okay?”
She kissed me slow and held my face,
Said, “Baby, love like this will never fade.”
Now every time I close my eyes,
I feel that night, I taste that sky.
It wasn’t wrong, it wasn’t fake,
It was the moment… my soul awoke.

Are You OK?
“Are You Okay? came from a memory that’s stayed with me my whole life — the moment I crossed that line between being a boy and becoming a man.
When I was younger, I had my first real sexual experience with a woman who was older than me — someone confident, grounded, and fully in her power. And for a kid who was still figuring himself out, that was overwhelming in a way I didn’t have the words for at the time.
It wasn’t about the physical part… it was the emotional shock of being seen by someone who understood intimacy on a level I had never experienced.
She was gentle, patient, and intentional — and I was nervous. I remember freezing up in the moment and quietly asking her, ‘Are you okay?’ And instead of pulling away, she just smiled and reassured me. That moment of kindness stuck with me.
Looking back, that night wasn’t wild or reckless — it was tender. It made me realize how powerful intimacy can be when someone is guiding you with care instead of judgment.
This song is really about awakening — that first moment in your life when you realize connection can be soft and passionate at the same time. When you learn that desire doesn’t have to be confusing or rushed. It can be grounding. It can be healing.
It’s a tribute to that older woman who approached the moment with maturity and compassion — and to the younger version of me who walked in nervous and walked out changed.
If you’ve ever had an experience that shaped you long before you understood what it meant… that’s what Are You Okay? is about.”
