Back in the Game
[Verse 1]
I was playin’ it safe, keepin’ my head down low,
Dinner at six, same talk, same show.
Felt like the spark had left the room,
Like passion packed up way too soon.
[Verse 2]
Then outta nowhere, she caught my eye,
Young and wild, like the Fourth of July.
She laughed at my jokes, pulled me to dance,
Suddenly I’m twenty-five again in her hands.
[Pre-Chorus]
Didn’t know I’d feel this fire,
Didn’t know I’d want this higher…
[Chorus]
Now I’m back in the game, feeling alive,
These young hearts keep me electrified.
Full of life, sexy and free,
They woke up the wild side inside of me.
Yeah, I thought the best was over, but man, I was wrong…
Oh baby, I’m back in the game.
[Verse 3]
Used to think age was a heavy chain,
But they’re showing me love don’t play that way.
It’s late-night drives, it’s wild new scenes,
It’s chasing sunsets and crazy dreams.
[Verse 4]
They see my gray as a badge of pride,
Call me seasoned, steady, strong inside.
And when they kiss me, it’s fire and heat,
Youth and wisdom finally meet.
[Pre-Chorus]
Didn’t know I’d feel this fire,
Didn’t know I’d want this higher…
[Chorus]
Now I’m back in the game, feeling alive,
These young hearts keep me electrified.
Full of life, sexy and free,
They woke up the wild side inside of me.
Yeah, I thought the best was over, but man, I was wrong…
Oh baby, I’m back in the game.
[Bridge]
Age is just a number, love don’t fade,
I’ve still got moves they can’t replace.
They light me up, I light them too,
Every kiss feels brand new.
[Chorus]
Now I’m back in the game, feeling alive,
These young hearts keep me electrified.
Full of life, sexy and free,
They woke up the wild side inside of me.
Yeah, I thought the best was over, but man, I was wrong…
Oh baby, I’m back in the game.
[Outro]
Yeah… still got it.

Back in the Game
There was a stretch of my life where I honestly thought that part of me was done — the part that felt desirable, excited, spontaneous. I’d settled into routines. Same dinners, same nights, same conversations. It felt like the fire had dimmed, and I convinced myself that was just what getting older meant.
Then I met someone who completely rewired that belief.
She was young, vibrant, full of life in a way I hadn’t felt in years. Not immature — just alive. Light-hearted. Fun. She laughed at things I hadn’t joked about in ages. She made me dance again. She pulled me out of autopilot and reminded me that there was still a version of me who loved adventure, who loved connection, who still had spark.
It wasn’t about age — it was about energy.
About rediscovering the part of myself I’d almost buried.
“Back in the Game” was born from that moment…
the moment I realized I wasn’t done living, loving, or feeling electric.
It’s a celebration of surprise, of rediscovery, and of the joy that hits you when someone walks into your life and wakes up a part of you that you thought was gone forever.
This song is me saying:
I still got it.
I’m still alive.
And damn… it feels good to be back in the game.
