Lyrics
Lonelier With You
[Verse 1]
We share a bed but I can’t feel your heart,
Two strangers lying in the dark.
I thought your love would keep me safe,
But the silence grows in the empty space.
[Verse 2]
I used to dream of nights like these,
Now they only bring me to my knees.
[Chorus]
I’m lonelier with you than I ever was single,
Colder in your arms than the nights I’d shiver.
I reach for your heart but it slips right through,
Baby, I’m lonelier… lonelier with you.
[Verse 3]
I miss the person you used to be,
Now you’re a shadow lying next to me.
I’d rather face the dark alone,
Than love somebody who makes me unknown.
[Verse 4]
I thought this love would heal my scars,
But you just remind me how broken we are.
[Chorus]
I’m lonelier with you than I ever was single,
Colder in your arms than the nights I’d shiver.
I reach for your heart but it slips right through,
Baby, I’m lonelier… lonelier with you.
[Bridge]
And it kills me knowing I begged you to stay,
When leaving might have been the safer way.
All this regret I can’t undo,
I lost myself while I was loving you.
[Chorus]
I’m lonelier with you than I ever was single,
Colder in your arms than the nights I’d shiver.
I reach for your heart but it slips right through,
Baby, I’m lonelier… lonelier with you.
[Outro]
Yeah, I’m lonelier…
Lonelier with you.

Lonelier with You
There’s a specific kind of heartbreak that doesn’t come from being left — it comes from staying. From waking up every morning next to someone who feels a little farther away than they did the night before. From realizing that the person you once begged to love you is now the very reason you feel invisible.
This song was born in that space.
It came from a relationship where the closeness existed only in proximity, not in spirit. Where you could share the same bed, the same house, even the same life — and still feel like strangers passing in the hall. I kept trying to convince myself that love could grow back, that warmth could return, that silence didn’t mean indifference… but the truth kept getting louder.
I was more alone in the relationship than I ever was outside of it.
“Lonelier With You” came out of that realization — the moment I understood that loving someone shouldn’t make you disappear. It shouldn’t hollow you out or make you question your worth. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t leaving… it’s admitting that staying is destroying you.
This song is the confession I never got to say out loud back then:
that nothing feels colder than the arms of someone who stopped reaching back.
